Labor is out knocking doors for IL-09 candidate Daniel Biss.

There is still time to register for tomorrow's GOTV kick off with Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

We need to send progressive champions like Biss to Congress who will stand up to the billionaires and fight for working people.

The labor movement stands with all workers. Whether you are an airline pilot, an iron worker, a zoo keeper, or an award winning journalist, we stand with working people and advocate for what's right.

Rich Quan may not live in Illinois, but many of us read his work daily. As a NY Times journalist, he worked remotely while caregiving for his 96-year-old father, yet this week, the Times asked him to abandon this responsibility and demanded a "return to the office."

Under the Tech Guild contract, members can request remote work in certain circumstances, including caregiving. Despite that contract language—and Rich’s demonstrated ability to work efficiently remotely—Times management has directed him to return to the office and unilaterally denied his appeal.

His father is seriously ill. Times management can grant Rich the accommodation he needs, but they are choosing not to.

Sign the petition and let's make it clear to the Times that labor stands strong: actionnetwork.org/petitions/tell-the-new-york-times-to-stop-being-heartless-and-let-rich-quan-wor...

We love to see Illinois union members in action. Rockford, Joliet and Chicago firefighters met with U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth in D.C. this week. In today's political climate, it's more important than ever to meet with our elected officials and let them know what is at stake for the future of the labor movement. #1u #UnionStrong #IAFF #AFFI ...
